 The Seismicity Evaluation of the İzmir Fault by Using Soil Gas (222Rn and CO2) Anomalies

 

It is aimed to evaluate the activity of the İzmir Fault through the anomalies in the soil gas with the project number 121Y404, which is worthy of support within the scope of the "Earthquake Research Call" of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) 1001-Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program (ARDEB). The project team, consists of Assoc. Prof. Mutlu İÇHEDEF  (Ege University Institute of Nuclear Sciences), Assoc. Prof. Emre TABAR (Sakarya University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Physics), Assoc. Prof. Fulsen ÖZEN (Ege University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition), Dr. Gözde TAÇ DUMAN (Ege University, Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry) and Research Assist. Dr. Caner TAŞKÖPRÜ (Ege University Institute of Nuclear Sciences). The project team is supported by two experienced scientists (Consultants), Prof. Dr. Hasan SÖZBİLİR (Director of Dokuz Eylül University Earthquake Research and Application Center) and Salvatore GIAMMANCO (National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, CATANIA/ITALY).
